Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Field Supervisor to oversee roofing projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction knowledge, and hands-on experience in roofing and related trades. This role involves managing on-site activities, coordinating teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards across multiple projects. The Roofing Field Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to client specifications.

Duties:

Supervise daily operations on roofing sites, coordinating crews and subcontractors to ensure timely project completion
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to guide project execution
Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed
Conduct construction estimating activities for materials and labor needs
Manage on-site safety protocols, enforce OSHA regulations, and conduct safety meetings
Perform quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets industry standards and client expectations
Coordinate with project managers to track progress, report issues, and adjust schedules as needed
Ensure proper use of scaffolding and other equipment for safe working conditions
Maintain detailed documentation of daily activities and project milestones

Skills:

Extensive experience in roofing
Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques
Knowledge of various trades including carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry, plumbing, metal stud framing, stucco application, tile laying, concrete forming, fabrication, remodeling, restoration work, and maintenance person skills
Ability to estimate materials and labor costs accurately for project planning
Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication skills to coordinate teams effectively
Familiarity with OSHA standards and best practices for construction sites
Ability to troubleshoot on-site issues quickly and efficiently while maintaining quality standards
